    FINISH YOUR BOOK

    ONE-ON-ONE GUIDANCE

I'm making six-month individualized programs available exclusively to former students to guide them through the process of finishing their novel. This is not a Yahoo Group course, it is custom coaching. You will receive personal support and feedback from me to aid you in moving from PAGE ONE to THE END of your story. To assure that each student gets personal attention, I am limiting this first session to a maximum of five students at any give time and a waiting list will be established. If you enroll, this how I will guide and support you:

    1. Coach you through the four act and outline structures to pull the most from your story. We will make sure your story is in the strongest condition to write straight through with minimal tangents.

    2. Act by act, I will produce a report that tells you what to keep, what to change, and what to add. Because no outline is perfect, if tangents turn into terrific ideas, I will assist you in incorporating them into your story.

    3. Provide help in building a realistic time-table and reminders of your deadlines as you move along.

    4. One-on-one phone and email coaching after each report is delivered to help you apply the advice in the report.

    5. Work my hardest to make sure you finish the novel within the six month time frame, short of provoking you to kill me.
    6. Send you periodic articles to inform or inspire, as needed.

What will that cost, you may ask?

That depends on whether you want the whole package or segment by segment coaching.

    PRICING MODULES

PLOT: Four Act and Outline Structure Coaching
Individual coaching and interactive feedback to solidfy your plotting skills.
    $79 .
    Coaching on Single Acts
Useful if a long time commitment doesn't meet your schedule or your pocket book or if your story has spotty problems you've already identified.
    $95
Six Month Finish Your Book Program
Structure coaching, all four acts, and telephone feedback. Payments can be broken into three parts.
    $499

    Are there prerequisites?

Yes. Students for this program must have completed the Four Pillars of Structure or have completed the six week Four Act and Outline Structure Coaching program. In some cases I may ease up on this requirement, but I'd have to see a significant work sample to do that. I want you to succeed and unless you have a certain level of skill in handling plot, it's quite likely that problems will occur.

    What I don't provide
    1. Copy, line edit, or proofreading services. These services are completely different from content editing, and so I am collecting names of editors who do provide those services if you choose.

    2. Twenty-four/seven availability. We will schedule mutually convenient meeting times, either by phone or in person, and I will also provide general feedback in writing.
What you'll take with you when you're done

I'm calling it FINISH YOUR BOOK because that's what you'll take away. Your book — a solid, first draft that can be polished into a marketable manuscript. You'll also have that wonderful feeling you get when you've finally accomplished a lifelong dream.

    HOW TO SIGN UP

I suspect this new program will generate many questions, so emailme at bootcamp4novelists@cox.net and I'll be happy to answer them. If you're sure you want to sign on, however, do it quickly because, again, I'm taking a limited number of students. We'll converse about what you want to accomplish and decide what will work best for you. If you decide to enroll in one of the programs, you'll settle up through Paypal just like for regular courses.

If you don't meet the prerequisites now, a new section of the Four Pillars begins August 3, 2012. Feel free to contact me to discuss what you'll need to be eligible for the program.
