I've been in the writing business for over 25 years, and it's been a crazy fun ride. I love sharing what I've learned and have lectured and taught writing workshops, both in person and online, for numerous writing groups, including the Arizona Authors Association, the Romance Writers of America local and national conferences and meetings, libraries, book fairs and book store events. My degrees and work experience in journalism and behavioral science laid a great foundation for writing both fiction (fourteen published novels to date and three more in the works) and nonfiction. My writing credits include newspapers and national magazines, including the Romance Writers Report (RWR) and numerous articles as the Editor-in-Chief of the upscale AZ View Highlife Magazine. I also coach writers and do content editing privately. I'm excited to be presenting a workshop at the Desert Dreams Writers Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona, in April, 2012.

Since my first published novel in 2000, my books have routinely hit best seller lists and won several awards, including the prestigious Daphne du Maurier Award of Excellence and the Orange Rose Award for best book of the year. Sold in many languages worldwide, my books of romantic adventure, mystery and suspense are best known for their complex plots, deep characterization and emotional impact. They have been described by reviewers as "emotional, fast-paced love stories that keep you riveted until the very end." My latest release A SOLDIER'S SECRET, January 2012, is the third in a related series with THE MISTAKE SHE MADE (a 4.5 star Top Pick from Romantic Times and nominee for best series romance of the year by RT) and THE PROMISE HE MADE. Coming up next, a romantic suspense trilogy, STREET LAW, that takes the reader from the mean streets of Detroit to Florence, Italy.

My philosophy on writing is that it's a creative process that needs to be shaped and nurtured. I'm truly convinced that anyone can learn to write a novel if given the proper tools. After teaching so many classes in other venues, I'm delighted to be able to share what I know about novel writing in this unique program which we believe is the easiest way for anyone to learn -step-by-step. My personal goal is to share my knowledge and love of writing in a positive, supportive way that inspires students and allows their talents to develop, grow and shine.
